Plans and Billing
Manage your subscription, view invoices, and understand what each plan offers.

Viewing Your Current Plan
- Go to Billing & Plan in the left menu
- You’ll see your current plan and usage
The dashboard shows:
- Your plan name and tier
- Billing cycle (monthly or yearly)
- Current usage vs limits
- Next billing date
Usage Snapshot
The billing page shows a detailed usage snapshot so you can track how you’re consuming plan resources:
| Resource | Description |
|---|---|
| Status Pages | Number of status pages you’ve created vs your plan limit |
| Monitors (busiest page) | Monitors on your most active page vs per-page limit |
| Total Monitors | All monitors across all pages |
| Subscribers | Active confirmed subscribers across all pages |
| Teams | Teams you’ve created vs your plan limit (if teams enabled) |
| Seats per Team | Maximum members allowed per team |
| Heartbeat Monitors | Cron job and scheduled task monitors vs quota |
Each resource shows a progress bar indicating usage percentage:
- Green — Under 60% used
- Yellow — 60-85% used
- Red — Over 85% used (consider upgrading)
Note: For Teams, the subscription owner doesn’t count toward the seat limit — they have automatic access to all their teams.

Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Upgrade or Change Plan
- Select your new plan and billing cycle
- Confirm the change
Upgrades take effect immediately. You’ll be charged a prorated amount based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle — you only pay the difference for the rest of the period. New features are available right away.
Your current plan is shown as “Current” in the plan selector, so you can always see which plan and billing cycle you’re on.
Downgrading Your Plan
To downgrade:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower tier
- Confirm the change
Downgrades also take effect immediately. Any unused balance from your current plan is automatically credited to your subscription and applied toward future renewals — no manual refund needed.
Note: If the lower plan has stricter limits (fewer status pages or monitors), resources beyond those limits will be disabled (not deleted). They can be re-enabled if you upgrade again later.
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal (in some regions)
To update your payment method:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Payment Methods
- Add or update your card
- Save changes
Viewing Invoices
Access your billing history:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Invoices or Billing History
- Download PDF invoices as needed
Invoices include all the information needed for accounting.
Billing Cycle
You can choose between billing cycles:
| Cycle | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Monthly | More flexibility, cancel anytime |
| Yearly | Discounted rate (save ~20%) |
Switching Billing Cycles
You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from the Change Plan modal:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Change Plan
- Toggle between Monthly and Annually
- On your current plan, click Switch to Monthly or Switch to Annual
When switching billing cycles:
- The full price of the new cycle is charged immediately
- Your billing date resets to today
- Any remaining balance from your previous cycle is not carried over — the new cycle starts fresh
This is useful when you want to lock in annual savings or switch to monthly for more flexibility.
Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel:
- Go to Billing & Plan
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm the cancellation
After canceling:
- Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period
- Status pages stay live until expiration
- You can export all your data (see Data Export)
